Pet Owner Health Resources

The American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) provides useful informative documents for pet owners on various surgical conditions their pets may have. If you would like to learn more the link to the right will take you to the ACVS’s website page with these documents.

Surgery Aftercare Instructions

The following documents are examples of generic surgery aftercare instructions for surgeries Drift commonly performs. It can be very helpful to review these documents before your pet is discharged so we can answer any questions you may have at that time. You will be provided with personalized discharge instructions for your pet at the the time of discharge as well.

Surgical Release Forms

One of the following release forms will be provided for you to review and sign prior to your pet’s surgery. They are provided here if you would like to take the time to read them over carefully in the comfort of your home. You are also welcome to print out the form and bring the signed copy in to your veterinarian’s clinic.

Cranial Cruciate Ligament Injury and TPLO Surgery

Cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) injuries are the most common orthopedic injury we see in dogs. Because of this Drift has created an approximately 10 minute long informational video that covers information about the injury, TPLO surgery, complications, and aftercare. Please feel free to view this video if you would like more information about CCL injuries or if you would like to “meet” Dr. Quandt!
